Who issues the IBANs and the cards?
A licensed partner. The accounts module connects to banking-as-a-service providers such as Swan, Treezor, Modulr, Solaris, ClearBank, Banking Circle and Griffin, and the card module to issuer processors such as Marqeta, Thredd, Nium, Enfuce and Adyen Issuing, on Visa and Mastercard. With your own licence or BIN sponsorship, both connect to your bank and processor directly.
Which accounting software does it work with?
Every card payment, transfer and fee is posted by the ledger, which connects to Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite and SAP, so the numbers arrive in the tools the company's accountant already uses. The receipt, the category and the VAT go with each expense, as part of the receipt capture we build for your platform.
What control do companies have over team spending?
Each card has its own monthly limit, can be frozen in one tap and can be kept to certain merchant categories and countries, and every authorisation is checked against the balance, the limits and the fraud rules in real time. Company-wide spending policies, such as a cap on meals or a receipt for every payment, are part of the custom build.
What about licensing and compliance?
Holding companies' money and issuing them cards is regulated: in the EU it takes an e-money or payment institution licence, or a bank's, and in the UAE a licence from the Central Bank, or from the FSRA in Abu Dhabi Global Market. Many companies launch under a licensed partner first, which issues the IBANs and the cards under its own licence. The platform ships with business verification, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting, configured for your legal setup.
What is included in the 30-day delivery?
Branding, the accounts with your partner bank, the card programme with your processor, supplier payments, the connection to accounting software, KYC, the backoffice, production deployment and the source code. Receipt capture and spending policies are new work, which moves the timeline to two to three months.
Do I really own 100% of the platform?
Yes. On launch you receive the full source code of the mobile apps, the account, card and accounting integrations and the backoffice, with infrastructure configuration and documentation. There is no licensing fee, no revenue share and no lock-in.
